The BarnYard is a family-run restaurant set in 150 acres of Kent orchards near Upchurch, a short drive from Sittingbourne, Rainham and across the Medway. Cosy yet stylish, with everything cooked fresh on site from locally sourced ingredients. Join us for breakfast and lunch, a proper Sunday roast, or a classic afternoon tea.

Our kitchen team cooks everything fresh on site, working with a seasonal menu that changes through the year so you are always eating produce at its best. No factory kitchens, no reheating, just real cooking by people who take pride in it.
Dietary requirements are planned in from the start, not bolted on. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and more are all looked after with the same care as the rest of the menu.

We're a proper dog-friendly bunch (and we've welcomed the odd hamster too). The CourtYard is theirs to enjoy alfresco in the orchards, there are fresh water bowls at every door, and there's always a treat or two on hand. Pull up a table, four legs very much included.

This was our first visit to The Barnyard to celebrate our mother's birthday and it didn't disappoint! From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The menu had lots of choice, so much so we could have ordered all of it, it was delicious! Another visit is a must, we can't wait to come back.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. We couldn't have wished for more attentive staff and absolutely beautiful, well-prepared food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and you can tell every dish has been put together with real care.

Every time we visit, the food is great and they are so accommodating for dietary requirements. Nothing feels like an afterthought, they handle allergies and preferences with the same care as a wedding breakfast.
